The device, based on LuminoKrom\u00ae technology, captures daylight and releases it at night without the need for electricity. It is being tested on several roads, including the Rue du Stade and two roundabouts, which are completely switched off between sunset and sunrise. The aim is to assess whether this innovative marking system can be a partial substitute for conventional street lighting, in a context of energy conservation and safe mobility.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-31730 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.luminokrom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/luminokrom-pieton-trottoir-1400x1050.jpg\" alt=\"Trottoir lumineux pour pi\u00e9tons\" width=\"1400\" height=\"1050\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"\" data-start=\"796\" data-end=\"884\">A two-year supervised test to measure the effectiveness of the LuminoKrom\u00ae device<\/h2>\n<p>A two-year test phase has been launched, supervised by C\u00e9r\u00e9ma and the Syndicat intercommunal d&#8217;\u00e9nergie du Maine-et-Loire. The scheme is also supported by the French Ministry of Ecological Transition. To measure its effectiveness, the lighting on several streets has been adjusted: some roads have been completely switched off at night, and street lamps are still in operation at the beginning and end of the evening to accompany schoolchildren&#8217;s journeys. An online questionnaire is available for users to gather their feedback.
