An innovative bicycle path in Colmar: LuminoKrom\u00ae for night-time safety<\/h2>\n

Since autumn 2023, the municipality of Colmar has been conducting an innovative experiment on a section of cycle track. This safe lane uses a special paint, developed by a Bordeaux-based company, which has the particularity of glowing in the dark for ten hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Even when darkness envelops the city, the cycle path under the Mittelharth bridge remains visible, despite the absence of street lighting at this location. The photoluminescent paint<\/strong> is used to mark the path, providing cyclists with a luminous landmark.<\/p>\n

France 3 Grand Est highlights an experiment carried out in Colmar, where a cycle path is equipped with LuminoKrom\u00ae photoluminescent paint. This technology captures light during the day and releases it at night, enabling cyclists to travel safely without the need for electric lighting. LuminoKrom\u00ae provides enhanced visibility for users, even in poorly lit areas, contributing to safer soft mobility.<\/p>\n
