An innovative pilot project in Colombia<\/h2>\n

With successful applications on the South American continent, such as Brazil and the Grenadine Islands, Colombia has now decided to experiment with our technology on its local territory!<\/p>\n

The project was carried out in the department of Tolima, on the road linking the village of La Caba\u00f1a to the Salto del Mico natural tourist area, near Ibagu\u00e9. This stretch of road is typical of rural areas in Colombia<\/strong>: narrow pavement, steep gradients, sharp bends and, above all, a total absence of lighting.<\/p>\n

Frequented by both local residents and visitors, this road represented a major safety hazard at night<\/strong>, particularly in foggy or rainy weather. The local authorities therefore sought an innovative solution to improve safety on this route without installing costly electrical infrastructure.<\/p>\n

LuminoKrom\u00ae was chosen for its ease and speed of application, its night-time reliability, and its undisturbed integration into the natural environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

In this pilot application, photoluminescent guide strips<\/strong> were applied to the edges of the roadway, particularly on dangerous curves. The paint used is our almond-green paint<\/a>, which is particularly well-suited to the environment and performs very well in the dark, thanks to its 10-hour visibility.<\/p>\n

Implementation was coordinated with local authorities and technicians on site. LuminoKrom\u00ae paint was applied according to a rigorous protocol to ensure its effectiveness on a pavement subject to high humidity and variable weather conditions.<\/p>\n

On-site performance was immediate: from the very first night, visibility improved significantly, offering a continuous \"light guide\" effect to accompany drivers around bends. The effect is as spectacular as it is useful.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Feedback from the public and the authorities has been very positive. This project illustrates how environmentally-friendly technological solutions<\/strong> can meet the needs of landlocked areas that are difficult to electrify.<\/p>\n
