Photoluminescent safety measures between La Roche-sur-Yon and Aizenay
A structured route covering 14 km of greenway
In July 2025, the Vendée Department deployed our LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint on the greenway connecting La Roche-sur-Yon to Aizenay. This 14 km route follows an old railway line and winds through the heart of the Yonnaise countryside, passing through La Génétouze and Aizenay.
The application teams applied 6 cm T'1 markings continuously as the road approached the intersections with the main road, in order to provide clear and consistent guidance to users. These luminous lines enable drivers to anticipate intersections more easily and improve visibility in poorly lit areas.
Enhanced nighttime visibility for rural mobility
On this natural route, which is heavily used by cyclists, hikers, and users of soft mobility, our LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint provides real comfort of use, especially in the evening or in low light conditions. Each marking recharges in daylight to emit a continuous green glow at night, guiding users and improving their ability to see breaks in the path, hamlet entrances, and intersections with roads.
In rural areas where public lighting is scarce, our technology offers an eco-friendly alternative to traditional lighting systems: no energy consumption, no additional light pollution, and significantly improved safety. By visually structuring this 14 km stretch, LuminoKrom® helps to enhance the greenway and encourage a more peaceful and continuous use of soft mobility in the Vendée region.
