RD65 Aix-en-Provence, a LuminoKrom photoluminescent cycle path

The Bouches-du-Rhône Departmental Council is building a LuminoKrom photoluminescent cycle path on the RD65d

LuminoKrom photoluminescent paint was selected by the Eiffage / AER teams to secure the RD65 cycle path in Aix-en-Provence, France. The use of this light is intended to enhance the safety of night travel for cyclists and pedestrians.

LuminoKrom® luminescent paint contributes to the quality of the facilities by improving the practicability of cycle routes all year round at any time, even in difficult weather conditions. This luminous markup reassures cyclists. They visualize the course of the track, allowing them to anticipate the presence of a bend or an obstacle … Photoluminescent paint charges during the day and lights up in the dark without electricity, without expensive installation and without damaging impact for the environment.

Feedback on the application of LuminoKrom photoluminescent paint

For François Olard (LinkedIn 2020) “Eiffage AER has just equipped the RD65d (ex RD9) cycle path with #LuminoKrom on behalf of the Bouches-du-Rhône Departmental Council. With LuminoKrom, the visibility of the marking is truly enhanced at nightfall providing cyclists with aesthetics and safety.

LuminoKrom is a photo-luminescent road paint. It captures the light of day and restores it at night. It draws a light guide which really reinforces the visibility of the path to follow. It has the advantage of being able to be implemented easily, without electrical connection and without operating costs (free renewable solar energy). “
