APPLICATION
TIPS FOR EFFECTIVE WATER-BASED PAINT APPLICATION
Applying LuminoKrom® water-based photoluminescent paint is simple and similar to applying conventional wall paint, provided that a few key steps are followed to ensure a beautiful finish and optimal luminescence.
Before you begin, make sure that the surface to be painted is clean, dry, and sound. The substrate must be completely free of dust, grease, or traces of moisture. For new walls (drywall, recently plastered), it is recommended to wait about a month before applying the paint so that the substrate is completely stabilized.
To fully reveal the luminous effect of photoluminescent paint, applying a white undercoat is essential (if the wall is not already white). This light base maximizes light reflection in the dark and produces a more intense and longer-lasting luminescence.
LuminoKrom® water-based paint is then applied in two coats, using a roller or brush, just like conventional interior paint. It is ready to use and does not require dilution or the addition of a specific primer.
Steps for applying almond green water-based paint for design
Clean the surface: Clean the wall thoroughly with clean water or a suitable cleaner, then leave to dry completely.
Mark out the area to be painted: Use masking tape or stencils to protect adjacent areas and achieve clean edges.
Apply the white undercoat (optional if the wall is already white): Apply an even coat of white paint to the entire surface to be painted. This step is essential to ensure optimal luminous effect.
Allow the undercoat to dry: Follow the drying time recommended by the undercoat manufacturer (usually about 2 hours).
Prepare your photoluminescent paint: Open the LuminoKrom® can and mix the paint thoroughly to obtain a smooth texture.
Apply the first coat of LuminoKrom®: Apply a first coat of photoluminescent paint evenly with a roller (short pile) or a 6-8 mm brush.
Leave to dry: Leave to dry for approximately 2 hours before applying the second coat.
Apply the second coat: Apply the second coat of paint to enhance the color and luminous performance.
Final drying time: Leave the painted surface to dry for 24 hours before use. During this time, avoid rubbing, walking on, or any contact with the painted area.
