PRODUCT DESCRIPTION – White water-based glow in the dark indoor paint

LuminoKrom® Waterborne Industrial Paint – White uses OliKrom’s patented photoluminescent technology, renowned for its reliability and long-lasting performance. Thanks to its intelligent pigments, our paint captures natural or artificial light and restores it in the dark, creating a clear, self-sufficient light guide with no energy input.

.Particularly well-suited to industrial and commercial interiors, it offers an effective solution for enhanced safety. The white version stands out for its visual discretion by day and its high-performance luminous glow at night, ideal for technical rooms, warehouses, indoor parking lots or industrial staircases.

This paint reference can be applied in one or two coats, depending on site requirements:

1 layer for economical application, offering class C luminescence, sufficient for standard emergency markings.
2 layers for enhanced performance, guaranteeing class D luminescence visible for up to 6 hours indoors.

This modularity of application means that performance levels can be adapted to each industrial configuration, combining cost control and safety requirements.

APPLICATION

TIPS FOR EFFECTIVE WATER-BASED PAINT APPLICATION

Before application, the surface to be painted must be clean, dry and free of all traces of grease, oil or dust. The substrate must be at least one month dry and free of residual moisture or capillary rise, to ensure perfect adhesion of the coating.

For optimum luminescence, we recommend applying LuminoKrom® white industrial paint over a clear undercoat, ideally white, which enhances light reflection and intensifies brilliance in the dark.

Depending on the level of performance required, the paint can be applied in one or two coats:

1 layer for functional lighting (class C luminescence)
2 layers for enhanced performance, offering up to 8 hours of visibility indoors (class D)

Application is by brush or roller: prefer a short-haired roller (6-8 mm) or a brush suitable for water-based paints.

LuminoKrom® paint is ready-to-use, requires no thinning or priming, and must not be sprayed.

Steps for applying white water-based paint for industry

Prepare the surface: thoroughly clean the area to be painted with clear water or a mild detergent. Make sure the surface is perfectly clean, dry and free from all traces of grease or dust.
Delineate the areas to be painted: use marking tape or stencils to obtain sharp, precise contours, especially for directional lines or safety pictograms.
Apply a white undercoat: for optimum performance, apply a white undercoat (approx. 400 g/m²) to amplify the light reflection of the photoluminescent coating.
Respect drying time: allow the undercoat to dry for around 2 hours before proceeding with LuminoKrom® paint.
Prepare the product: carefully homogenize the paint in the can before use to ensure a uniform texture.
Apply the first coat of white photoluminescent paint at a rate of approximately 350 g/m², in accordance with the product's technical recommendations.
Allow to dry for 2 hours, before applying a second coat (same dosage) if desired, to enhance luminosity and achieve class E luminescence.
Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before putting the area back into service. During this time, protect the surface from all traffic or contact with moisture.
Clean your tools with water, without thinners or solvents, as the paint is formulated in an aqueous phase.
