Illuminated markers for safe night-time travel in desert environments

An innovative layout for safe, gentle mobility

In June 2022, the Government of Dubai - RTA Roads & Transport Authority chose LuminoKrom® to secure a 113 km bicycle path across the Dubai desert in the United Arab Emirates.

This ambitious project aims to provide local cyclists with optimal night-time signage, essential for safe travel in this environment where natural light is limited at night.

A sustainable solution for maximum visibility without energy

LuminoKrom® captures daylight and releases it for up to 10 hours at night, guaranteeing efficient signage without energy consumption. The project reflects the Dubai RTA's commitment to promoting soft mobility, while meeting the challenges posed by poorly lit desert areas.
