Illuminated markings for safe mobility

Reinforced signage for night-time travel

In April 2024, Sophia Antipolis, a world-renowned technology cluster, applied our LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint for the second time to one of its bicycle paths.

This follows a similar project in Valbonne in 2021, reinforcing the Alpes-Maritimes' commitment to improving infrastructure through sustainable and efficient technologies.

An eco-responsible solution for soft mobility

The use of LuminoKrom® at Sophia Antipolis aims to improve night-time visibility of traffic lanes and pedestrian areas. Our paint, which absorbs light during the day and gives it back at night, illuminates routes, reducing the risk of accidents and increasing user safety. This choice is part of an eco-responsible approach, reducing dependence on artificial lighting and helping to reduce light pollution, an important issue for this innovative ecosystem.

The initiative reflects Sophia Antipolis' vision as a leader in the adoption of intelligent, environmentally-friendly solutions. It also underlines the importance of territorial coherence in the application of new technologies, making the region an example in the management and modernization of public infrastructures.
