Illuminated markers to guide cyclists between the campsite and the beach

A secure link between nature and coastline

In June 2022, the Communauté de Communes des Grands Lacs equipped a 300-meter bicycle path running alongside the forest with LuminoKrom® photoluminescent markings.

Located between rue des Pluviers and boulevard d'Arcachon, this cycle path links the Campéole Sud campsite with the south beach, a route much used by residents and holidaymakers alike. Thanks to this marking, cyclists benefit from reliable and safe night-time guidance, particularly in this poorly lit area in the middle of nowhere.

A sustainable alternative to artificial lighting

LuminoKrom® captures daylight and restores it up to 10 hours after dark, providing effective signage without energy consumption. The project is in line with the Grands Lacs' commitment to promoting environmentally-friendly mobility, preserving the natural environment while ensuring user safety.
