In April 2022, Eiffage decided to make the Pont Saint-Jean cycle path safer by applying LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint.

Produced by Alinéa, the markings provide cyclists with effective wayfinding, particularly useful in poor lighting conditions or when travelling at night.

A sustainable solution for a city committed to soft mobility

LuminoKrom® captures daylight and releases it for 10 hours at night, providing energy-saving night-time signage. The project is part of Bordeaux Métropole's drive to promote soft mobility and a greener city, guaranteeing a safe, environmentally-friendly route for users of the Pont Saint-Jean.
