Innovative marking to alert users and reduce the risk of accidents

Better visibility on a risky stretch of road

In September 2023, the Commune de Chimay applied LuminoKrom® photoluminescent markings to a 200-metre stretch of the Rue de Baileux between Bourlers and Baileux.

The marking is designed to make several dangerous bends safer, including one that is particularly accident-prone. Carried out on a contract basis, the project improves night-time visibility and helps road users to anticipate bends, thus reducing the risk of going off the road.

A sustainable, eco-responsible solution for road safety

LuminoKrom® captures daylight and releases it for 10 hours at night, guaranteeing efficient signage without energy consumption. This initiative illustrates Chimay's commitment to improving road safety with innovative and sustainable technology, adapted to infrastructures subject to low-visibility conditions.
