Illuminated markings to guide cyclists and pedestrians at night
Effective signposting for a canal-side itinerary
In July 2022, the Communauté d'Agglomération de Haguenau (Haguenau conurbation community) undertook a safety project for the cycle path along the Moder canal, linking the Clinique St François footbridge to the Parc des Berges de la Moder.
Manufactured by Signaux Girod, this LuminoKrom® photoluminescent marking ensures improved visibility of the route, enabling cyclists and pedestrians to find their way easily, even in low light conditions. This project contributes to the safety of soft mobility by reducing the risk of misdirection or accidents at night.
A sustainable solution for a preserved natural environment
LuminoKrom® captures daylight and releases it for up to 10 hours at night, guaranteeing continuous signage without energy consumption. The installation blends in perfectly with the canal's natural environment and illustrates Haguenau's commitment to sustainable mobility, offering an environmentally-friendly alternative to street lighting while ensuring user safety.
