Lighting up a central thoroughfare in Saint-Jean-le-Vieux
Street renovation enhanced by LuminoKrom® photoluminescent markings
A dual project involving pedestrian renovation and safety measures for a central thoroughfare
In the commune of Saint-Jean-le-Vieux, two areas were redeveloped in autumn 2024: the pedestrian zone on chemin de la Batteuse and the central lane on chemin de la Passe. The latter was delimited by two shoulders shared by pedestrians and cyclists. The aim of the project was to enhance the legibility of the facilities and improve safety for all users, day and night.
Ground signage that lights up at night
To improve night-time visibility, green photoluminescent paint has been applied to the road surface. Recharged by natural or artificial light, it lights up automatically when night falls. Our LuminoKrom® technology makes it possible to clearly identify lane narrowings and sensitive areas, helping motorists to anticipate danger better, while guiding pedestrians and cyclists in the dark.
