Illuminated markings to support soft mobility at night

A safer route for cyclists and pedestrians

In autumn 2022, the Metropole de Lyon undertook a safety project on the rue des Corbèges greenway in Corbas, incorporating LuminoKrom® photoluminescent markings.

Applied by Proximark Lyon, this marking enables pedestrians and cyclists to better visualize their route, even in the absence of street lighting. Thanks to this innovative solution, night-time traffic flows more smoothly and safely, reducing the risk of accidents.

A sustainable alternative to artificial lighting

LuminoKrom® captures daylight and releases it for 10 hours at night, guaranteeing continuous signage without energy consumption. This project illustrates the Metropole de Lyon's commitment to the development of soft and responsible mobility, by offering users a safe and environmentally-friendly infrastructure.
