Illuminated markings to make cycling safer in town

A better-guided and safer cycle route after dark

In 2021, Perpignan Métropole equipped the cycle path along Boulevard Edmond Michelet with LuminoKrom® photoluminescent markings. Produced by Aximum, this marking considerably improves the visibility of cyclists in urban environments, particularly in poorly lit areas.

Thanks to this innovation, users will be able to find their way around effectively, reducing the risk of accidents and making their journeys more stress-free.

A sustainable solution for safer, greener mobility

LuminoKrom® stores daylight and releases it for up to 10 hours at night, without consuming any energy. By choosing this technology, Perpignan Métropole is opting for an environmentally-friendly development that is perfectly suited to the challenges of the energy transition.
